Sovereign Twynham, previously know as Twynham Housing Association Ltd, was established in 1989 as the Industrial and Provident Society and Housing Association.  In 1991 we received 1,600 homes in a large scale voluntary transfer from Christchurch Borough Council.

In April 2005 we became one of the founding members of the Sovereign Housing Group alongside Sovereign South+West who transferred its 1039 homes in Dorset and south Hampshire to us under a management agreement.

We have a ‘preferred partner’ status with local authorities in Dorset and Hampshire where we own and manage more than 4,000 high quality, affordable homes for rent and low-cost home ownership. This includes properties let under our private sector leasing scheme, where we lease properties from owners and landlords in the private sector and let them to homeless families and other people in housing need.

We are a charitable, Registered Social Landlord and any profit we make goes back into building new homes and improving our resident services.
